Explorer, Safety and Kaposia Day Camps

Little Critters Explorer Camp

When: June 11th 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Where: Kaposia Park 1028 Wilde Ave. Cost: $15 per child

Discover “mysteries of nature” at this one day camp just for preschoolers. This is a unique opportunity for your toddlers to discover bugs, trees and all things around the park! The day includes many fun activities such as crafts, songs, hiking and games. Campers will go home with their craft and treats! Parents need not stay for camp but are welcome!

Safety Camp

Kids entering grades 2-6 in
When: July 7th & 8th 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Where: Kaposia Park Cost: $28 per child

Come and learn in a fun environment how to handle a variety of situations safely. Our local law enforcement and fire-fighters will share their knowledge and help kids learn the basics of safety. Kids will learn how to exit a house fire from our smokehouse, our local K-9 units will be on site to give a demonstration and we will also learn personal safety, internet danger and basic first aid, and bus safety. Lunches will be provided along with daily snacks. Participants will receive a t-shirt to wear each day. Parents are invited to a special ceremony held on Wednesday July 8th at 3:30 p.m. 

Kaposia Day Camp 

Grades K-6, When:  July 27th-31st, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., Where:  Kaposia Park Cost: $56  per child.

Buses will run from Kaposia Education Center and Lincoln Center Elementary to Kaposia Park.
Kaposia Education Center:  Pickup 8:45 a.m./Return 4:20 p.m.
Lincoln Center:  Pickup 9 a.m./Return 4:10 p.m.

Our week long camp is five full days of games, interpretive programs and crafts!  You’ll have tons of fun challenging our counselors in activities each day. Our camp provides hands on learning with recreational activities.
To add to the fun, we will end each day with a swim at Northview Pool.
Campers will need to bring a bag lunch on Monday. For the remainder of the week, campers will bring an assigned food item from home and help prepare lunch each day.  An informational letter including schedule for the week will be sent one week prior to camp. Bus transportation will be provided to Kaposia Park from Lincoln Center and Kaposia Education Center.
