The City typically plows for snowfalls of two inches or more. Once city crews have completed plowing their initial curb-to-curb routes, the police department is notified to begin tagging vehicles (snowbirds) which were not moved during the first snow removal operation. Tagged (cited) vehicles that are not moved will be towed beginning the next morning so City crews can complete the snow removal process.
You can sign up to receive a “Snowbird Notification” email or text of when the City will begin citing vehicles that were not moved for the snow removal process. Go to www.southstpaul.org and click on “Notify Me” on the homepage. If you signed up last year, you will need to re-register under our new website.

To avoid having your vehicle cited and/or towed, move your vehicle from the street until the City crews have plowed your street from curb-to-curb.
